Sleep Apnea, Snoring, & Inadequate Sleep

Snoring can be contributing to your and your family‚Äôs fatigue and lack of sleep. If this loud snoring is accompanied with silent moments (not breathing) this could be a sign of a very severe problem called sleep apnea.  The symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea include loud snoring and/or an abnormal pattern of snoring with pauses and gasps. Other symptoms include excessive daytime sleepiness, memory changes, depression , and irritability. In some patients, sleep apnea can contribute to high blood pressure, heart failure, stroke, heart attack, and even death.
